At Benny’s Backyard, daycare is more than a drop-off — it’s a boutique, cage-free experience where pups enjoy supervised play, healthy socialization, and plenty of cozy rest. With 24/7 on-site staff and live webcams, you can check in anytime and feel confident your dog is in caring hands.
We welcome friendly, social dogs who enjoy the company of both humans and other pups. This ensures a happy, safe, open-play environment for every guest.

Benny’s Backyard offers boutique dog boarding in Wilton, CT, for social dogs who enjoy
being part of the family.
Unlike a traditional kennel-centered experience, our boarding guests spend their days enjoying
the Benny’s routine—playing with compatible friends, exploring our indoor and outdoor spaces,
interacting with our team, and getting plenty of opportunities to rest and recharge.
Because we intentionally keep Benny’s smaller and more personal, our team gets to know each
guest’s personality, routine, favorite friends, and individual needs.
We don’t just know which room your dog is staying in. We know your dog.

Departure Day: We offer complimentary pick-up until 11:00 AM. Pick-ups after that time include a half-day or full-day daycare experience, ensuring your dog enjoys a relaxed, playful day before heading home for a cozy night.
🐾 Intact Puppies
Unlike many daycare facilities, Benny’s Backyard welcomes puppies between 4 and 12 months of age, whether they are intact, spayed, or neutered, provided they are friendly, social, and can be safely integrated into our playgroups.
Female puppies may not attend while in heat.
Because accommodating intact puppies requires additional planning, scheduling, and individualized supervision, a separate pricing structure applies:
- Half-Day Daycare: $45
- Full-Day Daycare: $57
- Overnight Boarding: $135/night*

CAGE-FREE PHILOSOPHY
More Freedom. Less Time Confined.
Our cage-free philosophy doesn't mean dogs never use a crate or private space.
It means confinement isn't the center of their Benny’s experience.
Our guests spend as much time as appropriate playing, socializing, exploring, and relaxing
outside of crates. Private suites and crates are available when needed for meals, naps,
decompression, safety, and overnight care.
Some pups want to play all day.
Some need an afternoon nap.
Some want to curl up next to their best friend.
And some just need a quiet moment by themselves.
Getting to know that difference is part of getting to know your dog.
Peak Days at Benny’s Backyard
During high-demand travel periods, a $7/night peak rate applies, along with a 2-night minimum stay.

Open-Camp Sleeping
For social pups who enjoy sleeping around familiar friends, our open-camp option provides a cozy, home-like overnight experience with comfortable sleeping areas and plenty of familiar faces.
Private Suites / Cozy Crates
Some dogs simply prefer their own space. Our private suites provide a comfortable, peaceful place to relax and sleep after a busy Benny’s day.
We’ll help determine which option is the best fit for your pup.
And whichever option they choose, someone from our team is on-site overnight.

Our team is on-site 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
That means our overnight guests aren't simply left alone in the building until morning. Someone
is here throughout the night to provide care, monitor our guests and respond if a pup needs us.
Because cozy nights should bring peace of mind to dogs and their parents.

New to Benny’s?
We want your dog's first overnight stay to feel familiar—not like being dropped off somewhere
completely new.
Every new pup must first complete a Benny’s evaluation so we can learn about their
personality, social skills, play style, and comfort around other dogs and people.
Before a longer boarding stay, we also recommend at least one daycare visit whenever
possible. This gives your pup a chance to become familiar with:
• Our team
• The facility
• Our daily routine
• Other Benny’s pups
• Rest areas and sleeping spaces
Then, when boarding day arrives, they're coming back to a place they already know.
REQUIREMENTS
Before Joining the Pack
To help keep everyone at Benny’s happy and healthy, boarding guests must meet our daycare
and social requirements.
Dogs must:
• Be friendly with people and other dogs
• Successfully complete their Benny’s evaluation
• Meet our age and spay/neuter requirements
• Have current Rabies vaccination
• Have current DHPP/DAPP vaccination
• Have current Bordetella vaccination
• Have a fecal exam within the last 12 months

BOOKING & CANCELLATION POLICY
Planning Your Pup’s Stay
To reserve your pup’s boarding stay, a 20% deposit is required at the time of booking.
We understand that plans can change. For a full refund of your deposit, cancellations must
be made at least 4 days before your scheduled check-in date.
Cancellations made less than 4 days before check-in are not eligible for a deposit refund.
Because Benny’s is intentionally a smaller facility with limited overnight availability, we
recommend booking early—especially for weekends, school breaks, and holidays.

Because Benny’s Backyard and The Groom Room in Ridgefield are under the same ownership, we can take your pup to their scheduled The Groom Room appointment and bring them safely back to Benny’s afterward.
You enjoy your time away, your pup enjoys their Benny’s stay—and they can come home freshly groomed too!
Grooming services are provided and charged separately by The Groom Room. A grooming
appointment must be scheduled in advance and is subject to availability.
